Katherine & Kara is a Chicago-based artist collaborative consisting of Kara Cobb Johnson and Katherine Lampert, childhood friends who reconnected after many years when they bumped into each other at the Hyde Park Art Center in 2015. Soon afterward, they started experimenting with working as a team on curatorial projects, events, and original artworks.

While each artist continues to pursue individual projects (Kara is creating new work and developing a new curatorial project, and Katherine is working toward a painting show at the Notebaert Nature Museum), Katherine & Kara is an inclusive space for joint creative projects and ongoing artistic dialogue.
